Am selected for QG and have signed offer letter on Aug. 08 and submitted my papers immidetely then. So far no news of my visa. Have been waiting desparately. Can anyone tell me how long does the visa issuance take place?
Thanks for all the reply. Appreciate it greatly. I forgot mention that i have NOC as i was working previously for offshore in Qatar. Now its 6 months since i quit my job in need of NOC. I keep in touch with the HR of the comapny, who say that my documents with the Immigration Dept. and to expect the visa any time. But i would be glad if someone could reassure me the maximum time taken and does it actually take this long. I have been rejecting other offers. One more thing...i have already signed the Offer letter on 4th Aug.
hmmm for me when they transfer my visa from privatecomp to gov't, takes only 3 days coz somebody do that inside the imgration, but usually the normal processing visa takes 3 weeks,,, im not so sure,,, that is if you finished already your police clearance and medical cert. but if not... you must first finish police report for 3 weeks... 3 days for medical.. then the last is immigration so total more or less 2 months......

It should not take more than 1 week after your medical.
