Hello everyone,
Could anyone tell me how I can get a visit (tourist) visa to Dubai?. I have a qatar RP and plan to go next week-end to visit Dubai.
Can the visa be done there in Dubai airport? or do I have to do it from Qatar.

Where did you hear about the news of Dubai Immigration stripping the GCC RP Status and stopped issuing visas on arrival. Last week to of my colleagues went to Dubai with visa on arrival.

simplest way is to get someone over in dubai to do it for you..
Recently Dubai government stripped the GCC RP professional status recognition. so even if your RP reads your profession as Engineer, you need to obtain a visa before hand and unlike earlier the on arrival visa is no more offered.
Two ways of getting the dubai visa done
1) book a hotel room and they would arrange a visa for you
2) if you have friends or relative, ask them to arrange a visa for your visit as they being your sponsor and guarantee.
3) contact agents in doha to arrange one at a cost.
You may contact Emirates Airlines....they are having some package with Tourist Visa, Airticket and Hotel.

It depends on what is the designation in your I.D.Card. If you hold a good designation i think there is no need for visa from qatar. You can get it from dubai airport
