Filipino expatriates in Qatar
MABUHAY !!! Welcome to the largest and fastest growing group in Qatar Living!
Though the group name say the word "Filipino", this does not mean that only the ones from the Philippines could join this group. Anybody who is Filipino and loves the Filipino is welcome. This comradeship in QL will pave way to more opportunities of meeting and knowing more people in the group, within the site and outside of it.
Feel free to start forum topics wherein we could talk in Tag-Lish (Tagalog-English) about everything and anything under Qatar's sun but without making other QL members uncomfortable with us talking in our mother tongue. We encourage members to write more relevant topics in English so that others who do not speak our mother tongue can also contribute useful information to topics of importance. This way we could COMPLEMENT the objectives of the website owner/s.
In order to help those who are new to this forum, we have taken a note of the topics discussed and placed under it the relevant thread. You can read through those or add your information to it in order to make the thread more up-to-date especially to those new in Qatar. -QL Filexpatriates Admins

By doham1121 on Sat, 07/11/2009 - 11:37amJust recently, nagkita-kita kaming mga dating mga magkakaibigan na nagwork sa DUBAI for 5 years and dahil sa recession ay nalipat sa DOHA this year.
Romeo Jalosjos - Pardon !!! Bakit ???
By juandelacruz_qatar on Sat, 07/11/2009 - 9:21amRomeo Jalosjos' turf--Zamboanga del Norte-- is an administration bailiwick. President Arroyo won here in the 2004 elections, leading her closest rival Fernando Poe Jr. by almost 100,000 votes. In the 2007 senatorial elections, the province delivered a 7-5 win to Team Unity candidates, with senatorial candidate Prospero Pichay Jr. emerging as the topnotcher.Jalosjos also belongs to the most prominent clan in Zamboanga del Norte. Five of his kin are incumbent (2007-2010) elected officials. His sister, Cecilia Garcia Jalosjos-Carreon, is already serving her third term as 1st District Representative, while his brother, 3rd District Representative Cesar G. Jalosjos, is on his second term.
