Filipino Expatriates in Qatar Living Group 1 year old this month
Hey Guys!
Do you know we are nearing our 1 year anniversary?
We were thinking this is a good reason for us to meet-up this month. Don't you think so?
If some are willing to organize a meet-up for the last Friday (April 25) of this month then it will be great.
It will be good if new faces organize this so that new ideas for the gathering come out.
Anyway share your ideas and let us know what you think. But we should organize soon if we want to push this through.

Party hall ...Anybody knows a Party hall we can rent ? We can share the rent cost. We won't anymore fit in the previous venue and we are not anymore allowed to make so much noise (like off-key singing!) there.
As for the food... potluck I guess but assigned.... and then assign some to donate the prizes also.
April 25, is I think the best date so far. (A bit biased selection since I have something important for May 2)

Party Hall ...You can check Al Nassem Gardens, this is located near Caravan Complex, look for a certain Mr. Cesar, we have used this venue so many times in the past, kung hindi lang sana ako pauwi after 2 days, ako na lang sana ang maglalakad nito.

I know one place pero medyo may kalayuan sa Al Rawda pwede kong pakiusapan kakilala ko doon kaso may kalayuan talaga near E-Ring Road na siya. Sa Al Nassim naman po nag party ako dati doon check ko muna tomorrow.

Oh my, oh my, sali ako, at ...Oh my, oh my, sali ako, at isama niyo ako sa food committee, hinde ako magluluto pero, magpapaluto ako sa friend ko, pagkaing Pinoy don't worry, like Puto, Butse, at gusto niyo ba ng pinapaitan, alang amoy kasi pinapaitan sa ampalaya, o taas lang ng kamay ang mga kumakain ng pinapaitan para alam ko kung gaano karami ang iluluto... wag kayong mag-alala at kung di man ulit ako makakadalo, makakarating ang pagkain just when i got absent last alimango feast, inihatid ko naman ang share kong mga pinggan at forks at spoons and papaer cups etc. So bear with me, dina po mauulit yun, but just incase lang dahil sa dami ng commitments ko, pero priority ko ito dahil malaking salo-salo.

Try ko pong mag inquire sa Al Nassim mamaya last time kasi QAR 500 yung clubhouse lang and since Friday yan medyo malabo tayo pero try ko pa rin kasi maraming nagpapabook doon at saka palakasan system din po doon.
Meron nga po akong ma susuggest kaso sa Al Rawda yun medyo may kalayuan pero pwede akong magpatulong doon

Venue.. ...Alecscotland, thanks for offering your compound but the best day so far is a Friday since many have work on Saturday.
The best date is April 18 or 25, but with preaparation time, April 25 is the best unless we can finalize the venue before next week.
The most crucial is the venue after that food, games, prizes are easy to prepare.

by the way, why not instead of the traditional parlor games, why don't you guys have "live forums or threads" instead? it's like re-creating the fil-ex group website & instead of typing, everybody gets to speak.
also, presenting a top ten list of the most relevant and significant threads is something else worhtwhile. another are perhaps identified achievements and contribution of the fil-ex group to members.... like a list of forums that in one way or the other, have helped members.
i would very much like to see this function to have a relevant theme of activities other than food & games. kasawa na rin kasi yung chichaan & karaokehan...
