Poetry Night in Doha

"

We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and
write poetry

because we are members of the human race. And the human race is
filled

with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble

pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love,

these are what we stay alive for.

how filipinos behave overseas... medyo mahaba but a must read!

YOU say that our government is inefficient.

YOU say that our laws are too old.

YOU say that the our local government does not pick up the garbage and does not manage well the cleanliness of the land.

YOU say that the phones don't work during typhoons, the traffic is a joke, mails never reach their destination.

YOU say that the country has been fed to the dogs and is the absolute pits.

YOU say, say, and say.

What do YOU do about it?

Take a person on his way to Singapore. Give him a name - YOURS. Give him a face - YOURS.

Filipino Expatriates in Qatar Living Group 1 year old this month

Hey Guys!

Do you know we are nearing our 1 year anniversary?

We were thinking this is a good reason for us to meet-up this month. Don't you think so?

If some are willing to organize a meet-up for the last Friday (April 25) of this month then it will be great.

It will be good if new faces organize this so that new ideas for the gathering come out.

Anyway share your ideas and let us know what you think. But we should organize soon if we want to push this through.

Visiting Malaysia

One of my friend is planning to visit malaysia and he needs some information/help from some Malaysian.

1- If he stays there for two weeks, how much it will cost him for accommodation, food and bit of travelling (mostly in KL areas). Is there any help available for saving some money for hotel rents?

2- What is the best "purchase" from Malaysian market?

3- Is English easily understood by locals there?

Thank you for your advice & help.

Regards

"NARS"

"I'm Proud of You"

Son, life has never been that easy.
sometimes we need to do things against
our will just for the sake of our
loved ones. for our sons and our family.
it never cross to my mind that time
will come that we need to part ways
temporarily because of some
unavoidable reason. but the end reason
is always this " KAILANGAN". hope you
do understand how hard it was for us
to come up with a decision like this.
hope you will keep your mind open that
these things were happening because we
love you kids. and this is for your
future. You may cry anytime you wanted
