Summer is almost here and temperatures in Qatar are slowly climbing. If you haven’t gone camping this season, this is your last call. Pack up your gear, gather your crew and head out for one last camping trip. And if you are confused about where to go, we can help you out. Here are nine top spots across Qatar to make the most of what’s left of the season.
1. Sealine Beach
A favorite for a reason. Sealine offers the full desert and beach camping experience in one place.
Location:
Mesaieed, around 45 minutes from Doha
What to expect:
Dune bashing, quad biking, camel rides, and sunset views over the dunes. Nights are perfect for bonfires and stargazing.
Things to keep in mind:
Very popular on weekends. Expect crowds. Facilities and shops are nearby, making it ideal for beginners.
2. Inland Sea (Khor Al Adaid)
A UNESCO-recognized natural reserve where the desert meets the sea.

Near the Saudi border, accessible via Sealine
What to expect:
A unique landscape, peaceful surroundings, and unforgettable sunrise views.
Things to keep in mind:
Access requires a 4x4. Travel in groups or with a tour operator. Carry enough supplies as the area is remote.

The beach closes during turtle nesting season in summer. Check access before you go.
9. Al Ghariya Beach

10. Galactic Core Bay
A hidden gem for stargazers and photographers. This remote spot is one of the best places in Qatar to witness the Milky Way in all its glory.

North-west Qatar, in an isolated desert area

Dark skies, zero light pollution, and incredible views of the galactic core. It is a favourite among photographers looking to capture the night sky.
Things to keep in mind:
The area is remote with rough terrain. A sturdy 4x4 is essential, and it is best to travel in groups. Carry enough supplies as there are no facilities. The best time for galaxy viewing starts towards the end of April.
