Qatar Duty Free Opens First Aesop Store at Hamad International Airport

The Australian brand, known for its skin, hair and body care products, has opened a design-led retail space inspired by Qatar’s natural landscape, coastal textures and traditional architecture.

Located in the South Node, the store was developed by Aesop’s in-house Store Design team and incorporates materials reflecting Qatar’s coastal environment.

Its design includes a rear wall made with rammed earth and central counters featuring coral stone, combining organic forms with a contemporary aesthetic.

The store offers Aesop’s range of skincare, haircare, body care and fragrance products, alongside services developed specifically for travellers.

Customers can receive personalised pre-flight skincare rituals, including facial mist treatments and skin preparation using reusable skincare pads.

Other features include handmade tea bags for travellers to enjoy during their flights, deluxe product samples and Aesop’s signature furoshiki gift wrapping.

Thabet Musleh, Chief Retail and Hospitality Officer at Qatar Airways Group, said the opening strengthens Qatar Duty Free’s retail portfolio while offering local and transit passengers a new experience during their journey.

Eva Yu, President of L’Oréal Travel Retail, said the store was designed to create a memorable experience inspired by local culture and Qatar’s distinctive sense of place.

The store is located in the South Node at Hamad International Airport and operates 24 hours a day.
