Qatar launches ‘Rule of Law’ TV programme to simplify everyday legal issues

In cooperation with Qatar Television, the Ministry of Justice launched a program under the title of "Rule of Law," as part of a partnership aimed at enhancing legal culture and spreading awareness of rights, duties, and legal procedures related to the daily lives of citizens and residents. 

With 16 episodes in its first season, the program presents simplified, interactive legal content featuring legal professionals, lawyers, academics, experts, and specialists. It addresses topics and issues relevant to the lives of the community members, thereby helping to make legal concepts more accessible and providing reliable legal information in a clear manner. 

The program will address a range of topics, including patient rights and legal responsibilities related to healthcare services; tenancy and real estate issues; contracts and agencies; labor and employment rights; family, personal status, and inheritance matters; as well as consumer protection, financial obligations, and commercial transactions. 

The program will also cover issues associated with digital transformation, such as cybersecurity, digital extortion, privacy and personal data collection, and the safe use of social media, in addition to matters regarding insurance, loans, mortgages, and dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration. The topics will extend to cover children's rights, family protection, and legal liabilities in business activities, while providing the public with an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the legal issues they face, thereby fostering communication between specialists and members of the community. 

This initiative reflects the Ministry of Justice's commitment to enhancing legal awareness, fostering a culture of respect for the law, and leveraging national media to disseminate legal knowledge to the public - all in alignment with the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030) to build a society founded on justice, knowledge, and the rule of law.
