Souq Waqif to host Local Dates Festival from July 25

Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality has announced that the Local Dates Festival – Souq Waqif 2026 will be held from July 25 to August 10, showcasing locally grown dates and celebrating the country’s agricultural heritage.

The festival, taking place at the Eastern Square in Souq Waqif, will bring together local farmers offering a wide variety of premium Qatari dates directly to visitors.

In an announcement, the ministry invited the public to ‘experience the rich heritage of Qatar and discover the finest locally grown dates, brought directly to you by local farmers’ at the festival, which celebrates ‘the quality of national produce and the country’s agricultural legacy.’

The festival will be open from 4pm to 9pm, Sunday to Thursday, and from 4pm to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, offering a family-friendly experience throughout its run.
