The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has announced the start of the third phase of the summer season with the rise of the Al-Haq'ah star on July 3. The seasonal phase will continue for 13 days.

According to QMD, Al-Haq'ah is named after the circular marking around a horse's neck and traditionally signals one of the hottest and driest periods of the year. During this phase, the Indian monsoon low-pressure system dominates much of the Arabian Peninsula, bringing intense heat, frequent hot winds and occasional dust storms.

The department noted that this period is considered one of the driest phases of the summer season, with weather conditions expected to remain harsh across much of the region. Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak daytime hours, and follow official weather updates.
