Being Used feels sooooo.... !!
By Aisha on Wed, 10/06/2009 - 4:13pmI wish no one would ever feel used or taken for granted. No one deserves that.
Don't disregard the people who care about you.. Just don't.
No details provided, for the sake of the people who are allergic to my personal blog hehe
^ Explore Your Ministry ^
By Aisha on Tue, 02/06/2009 - 7:42amLately, there has been some free time at work, it could be because it's summer time and there aint much work as it used to be.
Anyway, my coworkers and I have been working on a sort of "newsletter-in-the -making" during that free time. We did some researches and then wrote down our vision , mission and goals on both short and long terms.
The first issue got released yesterday. Thanks to God it's been a HUGE success. We just started the first issue as an experimental copy of our newsletter (future internal employees magazine, inshallah!).. so we just addressed the employee of one floor (of 15 floors), our publication has been the talk of the ministry!!
Have fun working !
By Aisha on Fri, 29/05/2009 - 10:18amI've been successful in my job so far. It's been a short time, yes, but God helped me building a reasonably positive reputation; compared with those who've been working for quite some time now..
It's because I pray and try to stay close to God. If I work hard, it's for God, not my boss.. If I'm kind with people, It's for Him not because I want them to like me or anything; because they may misunderstand me and, believe me, it's okay with me, it really is!, ..You see, I'll be kind anyway..
So, before doing anything good, direct your intention so it would be done for the sake of God.. And don't forget to ALWAYS enjoy it..
This way, nothing can put you down, NOTHING!, .. Because you aint waiting for no appreciation or anything like that :-D
HAVE FUN!!
Single thought..
By Aisha on Fri, 22/05/2009 - 3:57pmAfter these couple of months, my working experience, it feels like I grew up 10 yrs or so.. in a good way hehe.. In terms of wisdom and maturity I mean..
It's just incredible how much people improve when they do something they love for living.. It feels amazing!
Let me tell you this, blog, if you feel good, good things starts to come to you automatically..for sure..
You see, I embrace good, and good hugs me back.
salam..
wooo I was wrong, get over it would ya
By Aisha on Mon, 11/05/2009 - 7:28amI thought I was good with words.. Apparently, I'm not! I keep getting misunderstood all the time! Some people have this weird hobby of misinterpreting people's intentions.. It's driving me cuuurazyyyy lolz no matter how hard I try to clarify my point, there is always this cornery, insecure person who finds joy in spreading the word of his misinterpretation of my speaking.. Funny thing is: when they finally understand the point, after me going through hell for them to get it, they get disappointed.. it's like they wanted me to be wrong so badly..
Loving my team !!
By Aisha on Thu, 07/05/2009 - 11:02pmI've been unbelievably busy this week! But I enjoyed every moment because I work with the best team ever. They taught me so many things! I feel so blessed for having the opportunity to work with Sara, Noony, and Maya.. We have chemistryyyy ! Yay us!!
Even on a personal level, we exchange books and watch the same tv shows ..etc.. Maybe that's why we work together so perfectly.. We already have so much in common, so we go along smoooothly..
I'm sooooo grateful!
Alla la yahrmni minkom banat, walla ahebkom waaayed..
Feeling uncomfortable...
By Aisha on Sun, 03/05/2009 - 7:03pm"The believer, who interacts with people and endures their harm, is better than the one who does not associate with people nor endures their harm.”
Sometimes I just feel like leaving everyyyything behind , but then I remember that Muhammed (salla Allah Aleh wasallam) would be upset with me if I isolated myself (again), so I go back to life and I try so hard to make him proud..
Taking work home with me
By Aisha on Sat, 02/05/2009 - 11:34amI admit, I take my work home with me.
I just can't resist it!
If I have a task that has a week long deadline, I would want to get it done within a day or two.. So I challenge myself!
I don't sleep or eat much until it's finished!
I like the attention I get when I submit my work way earlier. It feels sooo gooooood that it almost does worth the troubles I go through..
I wonder whether many people out there take their work home with them.. whether their families are sooo upset like mine!
It drains my energy so badly, I'll try to control myself next time.. I know I need to fix this situation..
Ouch!
By Aisha on Wed, 29/04/2009 - 3:34pmI just got stabbed in the back!! My back hurts, yes, but I feel alive by experiencing different emotions, this is soo new to me..
It feels awkward when someone trick you into something and prefabricate it into a scene of humiliation to you.. Like "why!" Like "wow!!" Like "seriously?!" Like "woooohoo I didn't see THAT coming!!!!"
Why would anyone PLAN to hurt someone who did nothing but good to them! I wonder what is it that they are so angry about that they're letting it out at others. They must be in pain, somewhere inside.. poor them, right?
No details here… I just thought I would blog about something you may relate to ;-)
Work's enjoyable morningzZzZzZz !
By Aisha on Mon, 27/04/2009 - 3:54pmEnjoying the simplest things at work adds a whole new aspect to enjoying work.
You know, the silly little things that are funny but only at the time of them happening; the kind of incidents that you can't tell people about because they wont sound as funny then!.. but they're fun and they leave a strong impact on you afterwards; like you would be feeling good without knowing why! because they're' just too silly to last as a memory but they last as a feeling :-)
You know, like laughing at someone's unsuccessful efforts to stop a laugh, like the giggles at the elevators when a stupid thing happens...
Sara, the popular girl from work..
By Aisha on Tue, 21/04/2009 - 8:14amThis blog post is about the girl I told you about earlier, the fifth member of our work team. Her name is Sara.. Nice name right!! :-) In Arabic, Sarrah means something like "the woman that makes people Happy".
She remindes me of Marry in "There's something about Mary". You see, she's a lot like that protagonist .. she makes people feel good about themselves, WAY good.. There is this thing about her I couldn't quite figure out, I'm guessing that she's a genuinely, genuinely kind-hearted person.
It's like she believes that everybody is entitled to have her full attention regardless of how unhappy she feels at the moment. She can't help it but to smile and be nice to others even if her heart is aching with longing to a dear close family member who has just passed away last week!
The View From My Office Window
By Aisha on Fri, 17/04/2009 - 6:16pmI'm so in love with the view.. You know, Doha Sheraton is by far the most significant building in Qatar. I'm always admiring that pyramid shaped hotel..
When we were kids, my father used to take us there on special occasions. The thought of getting inside the transparent glass elevators was such a dream-like to me and my brother..
And now here I am, an independent woman, viewing the Sheraton almost every morning from my place of work.. Life!
But the little girl inside me misses the joy of dreaming about getting inside those crystal magical elevators..
Blogging about work tsk tsk !
By Aisha on Mon, 13/04/2009 - 3:16pmFirst of all, please pray for my brother-in-law, he's having surgery tomorrow.. He's doing very very well now alhamdulillah..
About yours sincerely, she's been working to exhaustion lately!! I'm busy learning new things awwwww !!!
I forgot how it felt like to be busy.. My last version of busy was meditating, feeding birds and taking care of my plants..Oh yeah,I'm not even kidding!!
I have my blog in my mind as I come across situations that I can share with you..I might have time to do that in the weekend. Now that I'm BUSY ( you can tell I like the word hehe) I'll just point out few advices dedicated to myself because I obviously face challenges!
1- Do not be attached to one person. Remain everybody's good colleague within boundaries.
Shukraaaaaaan :-D
By Aisha on Sat, 11/04/2009 - 7:03pmI owe you all a big thank you.
Thank you for your comments on my Day 1 and Day 2 blog posts, you made me feel great honestly.
Thank you for praying for my brother-in-law (I hope you keep doing that because he needs every single prayer, I'm sure there are people amongst us who are very dear to God and to whom God will answer the prayer, basically It could be anyone with a good believing heart, It could be you reading this line now!) Alhamdulillah he is good now, they're keeping him under observation and no visitors are allowed, which is good because he needs all the rest he could get.
As for my job, thank you for being concerned about that. Don't worry, I notify them immediately about my absence, and tomorrow I'll go back to work, inshallah.
The four fabs I told you about (my colleagues) could not be nicer. They call and check on me and my in law. They offer to help.. I'm so thankful for them that they bothered to be available for the emergencies of someone they hardly know, it's something I wouldn't have done it myself, but now I know I would do the same thing for anyone in future, they will feel as good as I did. Yay, I'm already learning stuff from working!
Day2, Drama !
By Aisha on Thu, 09/04/2009 - 8:40amSo I was all dressed up for my second day at work. I had the breakfast with my mother and sister in law, it was a beautiful morning, until we got in the car!
So before we drop my sister in law (she works somewhere near my work place), the phone rang.. and changed our plans..Life can be sneaky sometimes.. full of unexpected events..Only faith makes us sane to face the drama..
It was a scary news.. My 20 year old brother in law has just had a horrible car accident, and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition.. He was trying to avoid a truck so he hit a bus, then his car flips real hard that he got thrown out of it and fell down on his face.. It's just horrible horrible thing..
But you know what, he was sooo lucky he actually got out of it alive.
