Return and Refund Policy

1. Introduction

Qatar Living provides a platform for users to post advertisements for buying, selling, or renting properties and goods. This Refund Policy governs the circumstances under which refunds may be granted for paid advertisements. By using our platform, users agree to this Refund Policy, as well as our Terms of Use and Advertising Rules. This policy is in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 8 of 2008 on Consumer Protection.

2. Ad Moderation and Approval

All paid advertisements are reviewed and moderated to ensure compliance with Qatar Living’s guidelines. Ads that meet these guidelines will be published within 24 hours of submission.

If an ad does not meet the guidelines, it will be rejected, and the user will be notified of the reason. Qatar Living reserves the right to modify or remove ads after publication if they are found to violate guidelines or applicable laws, as outlined in the Advertising Rules.

3. Refund Eligibility

Refunds will only be granted under the following conditions:

  • Delayed Publication: The ad complies with all guidelines but is not published within 24 hours due to an error on Qatar Living’s platform.
  • Moderation Error: The ad is mistakenly rejected despite meeting all guidelines and terms.
  • Defective Service: The service provided does not match the description or commitments made at the time of purchase.
  • Technical Issues: Verified technical issues on Qatar Living’s platform caused the ad to fail publication or perform inadequately and the technical issue was not resolved within 48 hours.

4. Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds will not be issued under the following circumstances:

  • User Error:
    • The ad fails to comply with Qatar Living’s guidelines (e.g., incorrect category, prohibited content).
    • The user submits incorrect or incomplete information.
  • Voluntary Actions:
    • The user withdraws the ad after submission.
    • The user submits and pays for duplicate ads, regardless of whether the original ad was live or not.
  • Post-Publication Issues:
    • Ads removed or modified after publication due to guideline violations, complaints, or legal issues.
  • Awareness and Oversight:
    • The user fails to monitor the status of their ad and pays for duplicate ads unnecessarily.
  • Third-Party Factors:
    • Delays or issues caused by third-party platforms, internet connectivity, or force majeure events.

Note: Ads rejected for guideline violations will not qualify for refunds, even if the user disagrees with the moderation decision.

5. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, users must:

  1. Contact Qatar Living’s support team within seven calendar days of the issue:

    • Proof of payment (e.g., receipt or transaction ID).
    • A description of the issue and supporting evidence (e.g., screenshots, moderation decision).

Refunds, if approved, will be processed within fourteen business days. Qatar Living reserves the right to verify the authenticity of claims and deny requests that do not meet the eligibility criteria.

6. Dispute Resolution for Moderation Decisions

Users who believe their ad was unfairly rejected may file a dispute within three business days of the rejection. Qatar Living will review disputes and respond within five business days, providing a rationale for its final decision. All decisions made after review are final and binding.

  • Accuracy of Information: Users are responsible for ensuring all information in their ads is truthful, lawful, and adheres to Qatar Living’s Advertising Guidelines. Qatar Living does not verify the accuracy of user-submitted content.
  • Personal Information Disclosure: Qatar Living is not liable for any misuse of sensitive or personal information shared in advertisements or communications.
  • No Guarantee of Transaction Safety: Qatar Living does not guarantee the safety, reliability, or legitimacy of transactions between users.
  • No Mediation in Disputes: Qatar Living does not mediate disputes regarding payments, product quality, or services rendered between users.
  • Phishing Scams and Fraudulent Activities: Qatar Living will never request sensitive payment or login information. Users should report suspicious activities to Support@qatarliving.com.
  • Platform Downtime: Refunds will not be issued for delays caused by scheduled maintenance or technical disruptions beyond Qatar Living’s control.
  • Protect Your Account: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account login details. Qatar Living is not liable for unauthorized access or activities conducted through compromised accounts.
  • Browser and Device Compatibility: Users must ensure their devices and internet browsers meet the platform’s technical requirements. Qatar Living is not liable for ad performance issues arising from incompatible devices or outdated software.
  • User-Generated Content Disclaimer: Qatar Living does not endorse or verify user-generated ads. Users should use discretion and judgment before acting on any content found in advertisements.
  • Ad Content and Legal Responsibility: Users are fully responsible for ensuring their ads comply with Qatari laws. Qatar Living is not liable for legal issues resulting from ads that violate local laws.
  • External Links and Services: Qatar Living may provide links to third-party websites or services for convenience and does not endorse them. Users interact with these third-party services at their own risk.
  • Avoid Meeting Strangers Alone: When arranging to meet someone from an ad, always choose a public and safe location. Consider informing a friend or family member of your plans.
  • Inspect Products Before Purchase: Qatar Living is not responsible for the quality, condition, or authenticity of products or services advertised on the platform. Users should inspect items thoroughly and verify authenticity before finalizing any transaction.

8. Liability Limitation

Qatar Living provides its services “as is” and is not liable for:

  • User errors during ad submission.
  • Losses resulting from ad rejection, modification, or removal.
  • Technical issues outside its control, including force majeure events.
  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., lost revenue or reputation).

Qatar Living reserves the right to modify or remove ads that violate guidelines without refund or liability. Users are responsible for monitoring their ads’ publication status.

9. Amendments to the Refund Policy

Qatar Living reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notifications. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
