To all my Dear QL members,

Father: 'They were all my world... How can I go on?
By SPEED on Wed, 22/07/2009 - 9:09am
"Nathan, 5, and Chelsea, 7, died last week of suspected food poisoning after eating a take-away meal ordered from a restaurant in Al Ghusais."
Dubai: "Why did this happen to my children?" Patrick D'Souza asks, his voice cracking at the cherished memories of little Nathan and Chelsea. "They were all my world, now they're gone. How can I go on?"
It's been 12 days since the D'Souza family's hellish nightmare began, and it started with a phone call placed to the Lotus Garden in Al Ghusais for Chinese food.
Never did the family realise then that for five-year-old Nathan and seven-year-old Chelsea, it would be their last supper.

"Food For The Soul"
By Phoenix_Rising on Wed, 03/06/2009 - 8:43pm... today is the day,
... to embark on the new begginning,
... and on this maiden voyage,
... i shall feed the soul with inspiration,
... so as to sustain the endless flight,
... amidsts the journey that seeks higher,
... bound to rediscovering the lost path,
... of that long sought yet highly ellusive,
... one that has been found long time ago,
... yet foolishly taken for granted,
... oh benevolent one that is,
... "A Life of Everlasting PEACE"...

Volunteers pick up a carcass during the clean-upcampaign on one of the beaches in Qatar
A number of expatriate organisations have volunteered for the current clean-up campaign as part of the ninth Qatar National Green and Clean campaign.
The annual drive is run by Green Qatar Centre, which functions under the aegis of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Urban Development.
No expatriate organisation was slotted during the last two week-ends because of the dusty conditions and bad weather, expatriates coordinator Abdullah Kutty said.

Truth and Myth
By jason282pnv on Wed, 13/02/2008 - 4:40am*adapted*
Doctors may sound like broken records as they lecture to various
audiences even in far-flung areas (usually pro bono) but nothing can be
more encouraging to see that at the end of these forums, the lay
participants have a clearer and more accurate picture of what can
potentially maim them. With that, they are in a better position to
prevent hypertension’s serious complications.
Myth 1: High blood pressure is usually associated with symptoms, particularly headache, dizziness, nervousness and anxiety.
