Gulf Football Federation unveils revamped visual identity, new name

The Gulf Football Federation today unveiled a revamped visual identity and the adoption of a new official name, succeeding its previous name — the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, marking a new phase in the organisation’s development, and keeping pace with the rising global profile of Gulf football.

The rebrand reflects a strategic vision that bridges the Federation’s legacy with its future goals, positioning it as a leading sporting platform. It also aims to build a modern presence that reflects the spirit of the game and unites the collective ambitions of Gulf football.

The new visual identity reflects values of trust, vitality and modernity, and the region’s culture and heritage. It speaks to the sport’s rapid growth across the Gulf and to the Federation’s commitment to future generations of talent.

A dynamic ribbon sits at the heart of the design, symbolising the movement and momentum of the game, as well as trust, harmony, and shared ambition.

HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Gulf Football Federation, said: “This is a defining moment in our region’s history. As we look ahead to the next decade, we’re embracing an identity that reflects the scale of our ambition and our vision for transformation.”

“Our goal for the future is to drive the success of Gulf football through its national teams and its clubs on the world stage. This new identity is a testament to our commitment to excellence. Over recent years, the Federation has forged strategic partnerships that have elevated the standing of its tournaments across the region and reflected the region’s passion for the game, a track record of growth that now carries forward into its next chapter of excellence,” he said.

“On behalf of the Gulf football family, I’d like to thank our partners and stakeholders, including fans, players, officials, sponsors and media partners, for their continued support as we step into this new era of development,” he concluded.
