MoD confirms interception of 10 Drones and 2 cruise missiles over Qatar
The Qatar Ministry of Defence announced today, March 4, 2026, that national air and naval forces successfully neutralized a coordinated aerial assault launched at dawn. According to an official statement from the Directorate of Morale Guidance, the attack consisted of ten drones and two cruise missiles originating from Iran.
The Interception Breakdown:
* Qatar Emiri Air Defence Forces: Successfully intercepted 6 drones.
* Qatar Emiri Air Force: Intercepted 2 drones and both cruise missiles.
* Qatar Emiri Navy Forces: Intercepted the remaining 2 drones.
The Ministry emphasized that the Qatar Armed Forces remain at the highest level of readiness to safeguard the state’s sovereignty. While the situation is currently under control, authorities have urged the public to remain calm and strictly follow official instructions to ensure safety.
