Web Summit Qatar 2027 confirms more than 70 global partners ahead of fourth edition

Preparations are progressing for the fourth edition of Web Summit Qatar, which will take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from January 31 to February 3, 2027.

The Permanent Web Summit Organising Committee reviewed the latest plans during a regular meeting in Doha, with discussions focused on international participation, startup development and preparations for the event.

More than 70 global partners have already been confirmed for the upcoming edition, reflecting growing international interest in the Doha-based technology event.

Trade delegations are also expected from several countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, France, Pakistan, Bahrain, Italy, Turkiye and Palestine.

Focus on Qatar’s startup ecosystem

The organising committee said one of the main priorities for the 2027 edition is to convert growing international interest into more opportunities for Qatar’s private sector and startup ecosystem.

Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al-Thani, Director of the Government Communications Office and Chairman of the Permanent Web Summit Organising Committee, said the focus is on connecting startups with investors and global markets while attracting international partners and expertise.

He said the participation of more than 70 global partners highlights the summit’s growing international profile and its role in supporting innovation, entrepreneurship and economic diversification in Qatar.

International outreach ahead of the summit

The committee also reviewed the Runway to Web Summit Qatar Embassy Series, which is being delivered in partnership between the Government Communications Office and Web Summit.

The series is taking place across major technology and innovation hubs worldwide, including Washington DC, Stockholm and Berlin.

The initiative is designed to strengthen international engagement, develop partnerships and build momentum ahead of the summit in Doha.

Support for Qatari startups

Another key initiative discussed was the Road to Web Summit Qatar, a bootcamp designed to prepare a group of Qatari startups for the 2027 event.

The program will help participating startups prepare for investor meetings and the PITCH stage competition, giving local entrepreneurs greater exposure to international investors and business networks.

Growing role in Qatar’s tech ecosystem

Web Summit Qatar has grown rapidly since its launch and is positioned as a major technology gathering in the Middle East and North Africa.

The event brings together technology companies, startups, investors, decision-makers and industry leaders from around the world.

The 2027 edition is expected to further support Qatar’s goals around digital transformation, entrepreneurship and economic diversification, while creating more opportunities for local startups to connect with global markets.
