Nine business leaders from Qatar enters CNBC Arabia’s Top 100 list

Nine business leaders from Qatar are featured in CNBC Arabia’s ‘Top 100 Business Leaders’ list, which recognises executives making a significant contribution to economic growth and business leadership across the Middle East.

The nine leaders based in Qatar are:

1. Abdulla Mubarak Al-Khalifa, CEO, Qatar National Bank Group

2. Bassel Gamal, CEO, Qatar Islamic Bank

3. Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo, CEO, Ooredoo Group

4. Sheikh Hamad Abdulla Jassim Al-Thani, CEO, Vodafone Qatar

5. Eng. Abdullah Fadhalah Al Sulaiti, CEO, Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd. (Nakilat)

6. Dr. Abdulbasit Ahmad Al Shaibei, CEO, Qatar International Islamic Bank

7. Eng. Ahmad Mohamed Al-Tayeb, CEO, Barwa Real Estate Company

8. Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal Al Thani, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Aamal Company

9. Mohammed Ismail Al Emadi, CEO, Lesha Bank

CNBC Arabia said the list was presented in a non-ranked format to recognise influence and impact rather than numerical standing. The selection process was conducted by the publication’s editors and independent consultants based on a published methodology that emphasises measurable outcomes.

The assessment was based on five key criteria, including financial performance, market impact, innovation, governance, and resilience.

To qualify, leaders must have held their current position for at least one year and lead a company based in, or with substantial operations across, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Companies considered for the list must also have verifiable operational and financial records, whether publicly listed or privately owned.
