A Brief History

Fox Hills was developed as one of the inner-city residential quarters of Lusail, the roughly 38-square-kilometre master-planned city launched by Qatari Diar in the mid-2000s and organised into 19 districts. The neighbourhood took shape as construction across Lusail accelerated in the years leading up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, for which the nearby Lusail Stadium hosted the final. Today it is one of the city's most established residential areas, divided into Fox Hills North and Fox Hills South on either side of Lusail's central commercial boulevard.

Architecture & Character

The district is defined by modern mid- and high-rise apartment towers and mixed-use buildings rather than villas, many with retail and cafes at street level. Its blocks are organised into named sub-sections, including Venice, Verona, Milan, Naples, Rome, Treviso and Palermo, laid out along pedestrian-friendly streets and landscaped pockets. Architecturally the buildings favour contemporary facades that reinterpret classical detailing, giving the area a uniform, city-centre feel, with Lusail's central boulevard, the Plaza and the landmark Lusail Towers sitting at its edge.
