The Ministry of Labour has announced the enforcement of regulated outdoor working hours in Qatar starting June 1, 2026. Under the summer rule, outdoor work will be prohibited from 10am to 3:30pm between June 1 and September 15, 2026.
The measure is part of Qatar’s efforts to ensure a safe working environment and protect workers during the summer months. It also supports the implementation of Ministerial Decision No. 17 of 2021 on heat stress prevention.
The annual restriction is designed to reduce exposure to extreme heat and improve workplace safety for employees who work outdoors. Authorities continue to stress the importance of compliance with summer safety regulations across construction and other outdoor sectors.
