Qatar strongly condemned the drone attack on the UAE, including a strike near the Barakah nuclear power plant in the Al Dhafra region, calling it a blatant violation of international law and a serious threat to regional security and stability.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks crossed all red lines by targeting vital facilities and civilian infrastructure, stressing the need to spare the region from further escalation and restore regional and international stability.

Qatar also reaffirmed its full solidarity with the UAE and support for all measures taken to protect its sovereignty, security, and facilities.

Earlier, the UAE said its air defenses had intercepted two of the three drones, while the third struck a power generator outside the inner perimeter of the Barakah nuclear power plant, causing a fire. Authorities confirmed there were no injuries or radiological safety risks, and that all precautionary measures were taken.

The UAE Ministry of Defense said investigations are underway to determine the source of the attack, while the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation confirmed that the incident did not affect the safety of the plant or the operation of its essential systems.
