Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attacks by Israeli settlers on a number of villages in the occupied West Bank, considering them an extension of Israeli policies aimed at escalating violence against Palestinians, and a flagrant violation of international law and resolutions of international legitimacy.
In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that these crimes reflect the approach of the occupying government in enabling settlers to commit further violations and attacks under the protection of the Israeli army and security services.
The ministry called on Israel to fulfil its obligations under international law and international humanitarian law, put an end to settler attacks, and hold the perpetrators accountable.
The ministry urged the international community to take immediate action to stop the repeated Israeli attacks, provide protection for the brotherly Palestinian people, hold those responsible for these escalating attacks accountable, and ensure they do not escape punishment.
The ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm position on the justice of the Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
