The Qatari Prime Minister HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met in Miami with Secretary of State of the United States of America Marco Rubio, and the US President's Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff.
During the meeting, they reviewed the cooperation and the close strategic partnership between the State of Qatar and the United States of America, along with ways to support and enhance them in various fields, particularly in the areas of defense and energy.
They also discussed the latest developments in the regional situation and the Pakistani mediation aimed at de-escalation to contribute to strengthening security and stability in the region.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed, during the meeting, the necessity for all parties to respond to the ongoing mediation efforts in a way that opens the door to addressing the roots of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue, and leads to reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace in the region.
