Qatar wins doubles gold at Asian Junior Bowling Championship

Qatari bowling team players Talal Al-Marri and Abdulrahman Al-Dossari won the gold medal in the doubles category at the 25th Asian Junior Bowling Championship, which is currently held in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, and will continue until August 30, with the participation of Asian teams.

The Qatari doubles won the gold medal after they collected a total of 2613 points, ahead of the Macau doubles of Fong Shan Hong and Xiu Lucio Marcelino, who came in second place with a total of 2585 points to win the silver, and the Kuwaiti doubles of Hassan Qasim and Fahad Al-Saqbi came in third place with 2563 points to win the bronze medal.

The player of the Qatari bowling team, Ahmed Adel Darwish, won the bronze medal in the singles competition yesterday (Monday) after obtaining a total of 1359 points collected during 6 rounds.

The players of the Qatari junior team will participate in the tournament in the singles, doubles and team categories, and the team is represented by players Talal Al-Marri, Musaed Al-Muraikhi, Abdulrahman Al-Dosari, Hassan Al-Muraikhi, Abdullah Al-Dosari, Ahmed Adel Al-Darwish, Hamad Ahmed Al-Abdullah, Mohammed Essa Al-Abdul-Jabbar, the national team coach Pedro Mirani and assistant coach Khalifa Ali Al-Kubaisi.

The Qatari delegation in the tournament is headed by Mr. Salem Al Marzouqi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Bowling Federation.

The tournament will continue with the four-player team competitions, which will be held over two phases, each of which includes three rounds (rounds) on August 26 and 27.

The top 16 players and the top 16 players, based on their ranking in all categories that include 18 rounds, will qualify for the Masters finals in a head-to-head match, with 8 rounds in the first round on August 28, followed by a second round on August 29.

The top 3 players and the top 3 players, based on the total points achieved plus bonus points, will qualify for the finals in the competitive tiered step ladder system.
