Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay proudly celebrates the recognition of two of its talented bartenders in the Caterer Middle East Bartenders Power List 2026, with La Woon Phyu Phyu Thin of MURU and Uday Khushal Patil of YUN both receiving the prestigious Rising Star Bartender award.

La Woon has made an exceptional impact at MURU, driving a 66.7% increase in beverage revenue and 121.3% growth in guest covers. Her expertise in advanced cocktail techniques and sustainable practices, combined with being named a Monin Cup Qatar 2026 finalist, has established her as one of Qatar's most promising mixologists.

Her signature creation, "Flor de Kalma," perfectly reflects her philosophy of mindful mixology. Featuring a delicate blend of chamomile and lychee cordial, the drink is inspired by the idea to "Sip the calm. Taste the bloom," delivering a refined and elegant experience with every sip.

At YUN, Uday's remarkable journey from waiter to bartender in just 16 months has helped deliver a 92.6% increase in beverage revenue and 90.1% growth in guest covers. His innovative mocktail program also earned the Michelin Guide Exceptional Mocktails Award 2026, reflecting his creativity and commitment to excellence.

Among his standout creations is "Silent Jasmine River," a sophisticated mocktail inspired by the serenity of nature. Delicate jasmine, vibrant grapefruit, sweet watermelon, fresh lemon and sparkling ginger ale come together to evoke the calm of a river flowing through a blooming jasmine garden—an elegant reminder that true sophistication is found in simplicity.
