Qatar Tourism released a new song on Youtube on December 12, 2021, to celebrate Qatar National Day and attractions within the country. The video depicted four girls taking on a tour of the major offerings in Doha while singing along to “This is Qatar”, and has garnered over 2.2 million views since its upload on YouTube

The director of the song was Salem Al Turk and featured a debut performance by a Qatari girl, Hessa Alnaema. The traditional attire adorned by the girls in the video was customized by Qatari designer—Dee Designs. The four main girls are supported by a cast of 24 young Qatari girls pictured at various locations within Doha. The girls are shot enjoying at spots in Doha such as the famous Souq Wakif, Corniche, attending a football match at one of the stadiums, enjoying a dhow ride, and the courtyard of the Museum of Islamic Arts. The girls also made it to Aspire Zone and Katara.

The video contains the message to the world to be inspired to come to Qatar and experience its rich beauty through the eyes of a fascinated child. The video comes as a part of Qatar Tourism’s initiative to showcase the country’s tourism diversity and encourage local as well as international tourism throughout the year. The department works closely with major public and private sectors to ensure that visitors enjoy a safe and pleasant experience when in the country.

His Excellency Akbar Al Baker, the Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Group Chief Executive at Qatar Airways stated that the song commemorates the best the nation has to offer and is a celebration of the rich heritage of the country through the eyes of the youth.
