On Tuesday, designated authorities sent 282 people to the prosecution for violating the Covid-19 preventive measure (May 17, 2022).

273 persons were reported for failing to wear masks, and 9 for failing to download the Ehteraz app. The regulations are in keeping with the Cabinet's decision on Covid-19 limitations, which mandates that all citizens and residents wear masks in public.

Qatar has taken steps to combat the spread of COVID-19 by establishing new medical facilities and starting a free vaccination program for all citizens and residents of the country.

According to the Ministry, competent authorities submitted multiple people to the Prosecution for breaking Covid-19 preventative and precautionary measures in force, in accordance with a cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 governing contagious diseases. The MOPH encourages all citizens and residents to take preventive  measures.
