With the help of the Qatar Fund for Development, the Center for Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers at Qatar University (QU) celebrated the graduation of the center's students. The Qatar Scholarships Program, which is sponsored and funded by the Qatar Fund for Development and aims to expand access to higher education through scholarships and empower future leaders to contribute to sustainable development around the world, graduated 144 male and female students, including 52 from developing countries, at the ceremony.

Dr Abdullah Abdul Rahman, director of the Arabic Language Center for Non-Native Speakers, stated that graduates are ambassadors for the university and Qatar in their home countries, and urged them to keep in touch with the center, which he described as a ‘civilized forum’. He emphasized that, as a result of the center's high reputation, various cultural partnership agreements with colleges have been made, in addition to nearly 30 contracts signed in the past five years.

The most visible of these arrangements is Qatar University's strategic relationship with the Qatar Fund for Development, which gives 300 scholarships to students from developing nations over four years. Due to the huge growth in the number of candidates, he noted, the center will begin to expand through a defined five-year plan, and it is anticipated that the centre will receive the program. Al-Sabahi will have 200 students next year, with a 20% increase expected over the next five years.

In turn, the graduating students praised Qatar University's outstanding support and efforts in creating a high-level educational environment for teaching Arabic in a speech delivered on their behalf by Bosnian student Saira Jagalic. The Center for the Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers is a key platform for the university's goals of spreading the Arabic language, building scientific and cultural communication bridges with other academic institutions, and expanding opportunities for collaboration with regional and international counterparts.
