Baked goods are heavenly pieces of love for mankind and the scent of freshly baked bread wafting through bakeries and markets is enough to intoxicate every food-lover. The variety of baked products available on offer is every foodies’ dream. Shawarma is perhaps the most popular baked product in the Gulf region. Burgers are another universally loved food that is sure to make even the fussiest eaters happy. And who can resist a slice of an aromatic pie?

Bake & Take is a restaurant that was incepted in 2019 by two young entrepreneurs—Ahmad Baddoura and Abdul-Aziz-Al-Qaseer. The gentlemen shared a vision to introduce modern food inspired by ethnic Mediterranean flavors to Qatar. The menu at Bake &Take is pretty versatile and makes an authentic effort at all the flavors promised.

Undoubtedly, the fatayer or pies are the most-loved menu items at B&T. Some of these lip-smacking baked pies are also palatable to even vegans and vegetarians. The range of stuffings on offer is also impressively diverse: spinach with pomegranate and a variety of cheese including Halloumi, Akawi, Kashkaval, etc. The restaurant even offers delicious za’atar pies drizzled with rich olive oil.

Meat lovers are in for a treat as the menu is very generous with its meat offerings. There is pomegranate meat pie, cheese hot dog, and a mortadella and eggs pie. B&T’s beef shawarma, served in a long bun called samoon, has meat that’s marinated and cooked to tender perfection. 

Their dynamite shawarma is a delightful mix of spicy dynamite sauce that melts perfectly with the creaminess of the cheddar cheese. Other kinds of shawarma on offer include the classic garlic, tahini, or pomegranate. All of their pies and shawarmas are available for order in even party-size boxes so customers can treat their guests to an explosion of flavors.

All of the burgers a Bake & Take are made in-house and really complement the flavors of the fillings in them. The cheesy fried chicken is also another crowd-favorite as it is a mouth-watering fusion of Mediterranean and American flavors.

Bake & Take currently has two branches in Qatar. The first branch is on Mohammed bin Thani Street at Al Gharrafa. The second one opened recently on Wholesale Market Street in Abu Hamour Gold Plaza where customers can enjoy the weather and food in an open, alfresco-style seating area.
