The lively town of Al Wakrah, a former pearling and fishing hamlet, is located 10 kilometers south of Doha. There are four beaches to explore in Al Wakrah, which are mentioned below: 

Al Wakrah Family Beach

Al Wakrah Family Beach is a smooth, golden sandy beach located around 30 kilometers from Doha. The beach is a bit further from the water, and as it gets closer, it becomes softer and lighter. It is a popular holiday destination for residents and visitors alike, especially families, because the beach includes three playgrounds where children may have fun while their parents, relax on the beach in the sun, appreciating the beautiful sceneries around the shore. Al Wakra Beach has all of the necessary amenities, such as restrooms, and showers. Swimming is not suggested due to the shallowness of the beach, although other activities such as volleyball and soccer are available.  

Al Wakrah Public Beach 

The Al Wakrah Public Beach is just after the family beach and is also now fenced. There's ample parking space as well as toilet facilities. The beach has grown to be one of the most well-liked beaches in Qatar for a number of reasons. It is a wonderful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering a relaxed atmosphere and lovely views. Come and unwind while enjoying a variety of rewarding activities and the beauty of nature. 

Souq Al Wakrah Beach 

All those who enjoy the outdoors and unspoiled scenery can visit Souq Al Wakrah Beach, which is near to the Al Wakra Souq. The promenade lining the souq is ideal for leisurely strolls while taking in the gorgeous surroundings. It leads to the Souq Al Wakra Beach, one of the nicest beaches in Qatar. Since the beach is public, only long sleeved apparel is permitted there. In addition to other beach activities, swimming is possible at this beach due to the relatively shallow water. 

Dog Beach 

Right in front of Al Wakrah Public Garden lies the "Dog Beach." Because the water is so shallow, it's the ideal place for your animal pals to run. Additionally, you might be able to see a sandbar, depending on the tides. It can be reached with a sedan, but be careful since the soft sand might cause you to become trapped.

How to get here: 

Along with your own car and taxis, you may travel from Doha to Al Wakrah via the Doha Metro Red Line South. Currently, Qatar Rail offers free Metrolink buses to the Al Wakra South Area. 

The following Karwa routes can take you from Doha to Al Wakrah: 109 (to Mesaieed); 119 and 129.

Beaches at Al Wakrah are the ideal choice, if you're searching for a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy with family or friends. These beaches are an incredible treat, with beautiful views and exciting activities.
