Nestled in the heart of the city, there is a budding French new menu served by Sel & Miel restaurant located in The Ritz- Carlton Doha. We headed out into West Bay to experience the restaurant’s new bill of fare. The new menu at this modern French brasserie will captivate and amaze your palette.

Upon arrival, we were struck by the sophisticated and effortlessly stylish decor and ambiance. The restaurant features wicker chairs, brass-topped tables, and a bistro-style setting, along with a luxurious and spacious private room. Sel & Miel is evocative of a typical brasserie anywhere in France.

When it came to the food we were told that Executive Sous Chef Friedemann Heinrich and newly appointed Chef Glynn Trollip are passionate about combining simple flavors with exceptional ingredients. The result is a French menu of the highest standards, that would delight anyone's taste buds.

The first array of delights was served and we were spoiled with a few scrumptious starters. The Buffalo Mozzarella, with infused tomatoes, pine nuts, and basil Pesto was an extraordinary way to start our lunch.

This plate was then accompanied by Burgundy Snails, seasoned with garlic, and herb, and a fresh Market Beet Salad (beetroot, Brûlée goat cheese, walnuts, and pear). We agreed that we could not have chosen better appetizers to start our exquisite French lunch.

We lingered on these starters as much as we could, as the flavors sent us over the moon with delight.

Next, we were served a glorious selection of warm main course options. With so many fantastic options it was hard to decide now where to start as every dish was bursting with color and flavor.

We then proceeded to stick our forks in the spectacular and tender Beef Stew accompanied with stem broccoli and baby carrots. We tucked into the mouth-watering Flank Steak next, served with Hasselback Potatoes and Green Pepper Glaze. It was thrilling to dive into their signature, and incredibly fresh Seabass Fillet, served with tomato, shallots, cooked in parchment paper.

If you still have space in your stomach for some desserts we recommend you try the Creme Brulee De Provence, infused with lavender from Provence, and France, with honey, mango, and mint, among many other impressive and luscious choices.

The entire new menu at Sel & Miel is a true testament that the French brasserie is perhaps the best French restaurant in Qatar. Hence, if you are craving top-notch French cuisine, Sel & Miel will not disappoint you, and it is the right restaurant to visit.
