Rains in Qatar look set to continue today and in the next week, according to Qatar’s Meteorological Department.

The ongoing spell of low temperatures is likely to continue across Qatar and there is also a warning for strong winds and high seas in offshore areas, reported Gulf Times.

Prior to the cold spell, the country had experienced heavy rainfall over a one-week period, with the Doha area receiving a lot of rain.

The detailed forecast for inshore areas on Monday says it will be partly cloudy and there is a ‘weak chance of light rain in some places at times.’

Meanwhile, The Peninsula reported that the temperatures had plunged across the country. It went below 9C at several places, causing people to shiver.

Today, the weather is expected to be mild with slight dust at times. The climate will be partly cloudy, with a weak chance of light rain at places. Nights would be comparatively cooler.

In Doha, the day temperature forecast is 18C, while the night will be chilly, with the temperature dropping to 12C.

Mesaieed and Al Wakrah is expected to see temperatures ranging from 17 to 11C, while Dukhan would have temperatures between 15 and 13C and Ruwais between 16 and 13C.

YesterDAY, Al Ghuwayriya and Al Shahaniya recorded minimum temperature of 9C, Al Turayna, Al Karanah, Al Batna, and Al Khor recorded minimum temperature of 8C.
