If you are planning to go out during the weekend, it would be prudent to carry your umbrellas with you and also delay getting that car wash because there is a chance for scattered rain around the country.
Qatar’s Met Department has predicted localised thundery rain and strong winds beginning Friday afternoon, reported Gulf Times.
The rain is likely to last only for a short time, until Sunday, said the Met department in a tweet.

The Met Department explained that local convective clouds form during noon, especially in the central parts of the country, due to the convergence of easterly and westerly sea breeze in addition to the surface heating factor.
As a result, air rises and thunderstorms form when there is enough moisture in the upper atmospheric levels. It’s usually accompanied by strong downdraft winds, causing blowing dust and poor visibility for a short period of time.
