This week, the QL Team decided to visit The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, Qatar's latest addition to the hospitality and tourism sector.

To be honest, we were very surprised and impressed to find a massive hotel in the Freej Bin Mahmoud neighbourhood that's already dense with commercial and residential buildings.

During the tour of the hotel, we made a quick stop at Sabai Thai, one of the six restaurants serving at The Westin.

We met with Sabai Thai chef, Areewan Larpnikornkul, who had promised to share her recipe of Phad Thai, a stir fried noodle dish.

Here's Chef Areewan making Phad Thai in her own unique way with jumbo shrimps and tofu. Enjoy!

List of ingredients

Rice noodles - 100g

Jumbo shrimps with head - 2 pcs

Tofu - 30g

Sliced shallots - 30g

Chopped sweet raddish - 15g

Small shrimps boiled (cut in half) - 5 or 6 pcs

One egg

Vegetable Oil - 3 tbsp

Red chilli paste - 1 tbsp

Fish sauce - 1 tbsp

Tamarind sauce - 3 tbsp

Ground peanut - 2 tbsp

Bean sprout - 45g

Chinese chives - 5g

lime fresh - 1 piece

We hope you enjoyed the Chef Areewan's Phad Thai preparation. You can try it at home or visit Sabai Thai for dinner.
