Two Indian siblings in Doha tragically passed away on Friday, October 18.

The children, a 3-year-old boy, and a 7-month-old girl were natives of the southern state of Kerala, Gulf Times reported

After a thorough examination, the Ministry of Public Health today revealed that the children's demise may have been due to chemical exposure.

The Ministry of Public Health explained that the preliminary results, of investigation done by the medical team at the Emergency Department at Hamad Medical Corporation, on the causes of the death of the two children, showed the possibility of exposure to a chemical or insecticide.

Furthermore, the Ministry confirmed that it had not received any reports of food poisoning through the hotline of the Department of Transitional Disease Control.

The Ministry further said that until the completion of the final measures from all sides, precautionary measures were taken at the family's residence to ensure the health and safety of all.
