As health authorities in the country continue to implement the highest level of monitoring, detection, and management procedures to deal with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the competent authorities today arrested 10 people who violated the requirements.
Domestic health isolation is in accordance with the pledge through which they commit themselves to apply those specific requirements of health authorities. Those who violate these requirements will expose themselves to legal accountability.

In a statement to this effect, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) stated that the violating persons are being referred to the competent prosecution.
The concerned authorities called upon the citizens and residents who were subjected to domestic quarantine to strictly adhere to the conditions specified by the Ministry to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
The statement of the MoPH confirmed that everyone who violates these conditions will expose themselves to the penalties stipulated in accordance with the provisions of Article (253) of the Penal Code No. (11) of 2004 AD, and the provisions of Law No. (17) of 1990 regarding the prevention of infectious diseases, and Law No. (17) for the year 2002 on protecting society.
The arrest and naming of the 10 individuals, who are all Qatari citizens, reinforces the importance of adhering to the authorities' directives concerning measures implemented for the benefit of all nationals and residents within Qatar during this significant period.
