The popular luxury travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller (CNT) has included Qatar in its list of the best 30 places in the world to visit in 2022.

The CNT editors highlighted the significance of visiting Qatar this year in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The article talks about how this is indeed a milestone for the country, as it is truly a unique country to host the international football tournament. This will be the second FIFA World Cup to be hosted in the whole of Asia, the first event to be hosted by an Arab nation, and also the first World Cup to be held outside of Western summers. Qatar will also host the last FIFA with only 32 teams as the team pool is set to be 48 teams by the next World Cup 2026.

Conde Nast also pointed out a large number of attractions and luxury hotels that are all set to welcome travelers into the country. A special mention was given to the upcoming Qetaifan Island North project, which features a prominent entertainment hub, an artificial salt lake, and a major water park.

Qatar Tourism has also been enhancing its efforts to include a fully-immersive experience for tourists and visitors in the country. By launching various initiatives and collaborating with luxury projects, it aims at putting the country on the tourist map. The unique culture, art, tradition, and the fusion of modern luxury with heritage poises Qatar to be an oasis of luxury in the Middle East.

Other prominent places such as India (Bhimtal, Kolkata, Goa, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Sindhurg, Odisha, Sikkim), Bhutan, Japan, UAE, Turkey (Istanbul), Italy (Sicily), Serbia, Sri Lanka, and South Korea (Seoul) also featured on the list of best places to visit in 2022.
