In today’s COVID-19 statistics, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced that Qatar recorded 251 new cases, 28 new recoveries, and 1 death.

The new cases are due to people having been in contact with positive cases among citizens and residents. The newly infected cases have been placed under complete isolation and they are receiving necessary medical care. With these, the total number of positive cases rises to 2,979.

Ministry of Public Health announced the registration of the death of a 42-year-old resident infected with COVID-19 who was suffering from existing chronic diseases. The Ministry extends condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased.

It was also announced that 28 patients who had contracted COVID-19 in Qatar have beat the virus. The 28 patients have recovered from the COVID-19 infection and are in good health, the officials confirmed. With these, the total number of COVID-19 recovery in Qatar has now reached 275.

The total number of tests conducted in Qatar as of today is 49,102.

As health authorities in the country continue to implement the highest level of monitoring, detection, and management procedures to deal with the virus, the public has been advised to follow certain measures to safeguard their health.

This includes washing your hands often, using hand sanitizers, and keeping a distance of at least one meter (3 feet) from people who have symptoms of illness.

MoPH calls on all members of society to stay at home and not go out except where absolutely necessary. Ministry of Public Health also requests all members of society to cooperate fully and adhere to all health guidelines and preventive measures to reduce the risk of infection, including sticking to social and physical distancing guidelines.
