Dining in Qatar is supposed to be a gastronomic experience with multiple cuisines finding a prominent patronage among food lovers within the city. The plethora of options the city offers for a delightful dining experience is more enhanced by the fact that it is home to multiple restaurants backed up by Michelin-starred chefs. Not only do these restaurants offers a scrumptious meal spread, but their zeal to cater to the local yet diverse audience with contemporary flavors keeps them ahead of their culinary game. 

Here are some of the best restaurants backed by Michelin-starred chefs in Qatar: 

Nobu 

Nobu by Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa is a part of the world-famous legendary restaurants under the chef’s name and the Doha branch is the world’s largest Nobu. Chef Nobu’s signature style of fusing Japanese cuisine with Peruvian ingredients is quite prominently a part of the Nobu menu. Nobu Doha offers a spectacular view of the city skyline while you sample their signature dishes such as the salmon sashimi, black cod yuzu miso, delectable sushi, or even the multi-course omakase. Currently helmed by head chef Andrew Bozoki, who was trained by Chef Nobu, the Doha branch carries forward the legacy of the iconic restaurant with his own touch too.

OPUS

Michelin Star Chef Jean-Francois Roquette of Park Hyatta Paris is also at the forefront of OPUS’s welcoming dining experience. With an open style kitchen, the guests can enjoy from a range of Qatari, French, and Mediterranean dishes. Some of the signature dishes by Chef Jean-Francois include 48-hours slow-cooked lamb shoulder, beef tenderloin, sea bass carpaccio, and a few others. Diners can enjoy an exquisite meal outdoors overlooking Msheireb Downtown or even opt for indoor private dining too.

Deli | Kitchen

Deli Kitchen is backed by Michelin star chef Pino Lavarra and offers a unique dining experience for patrons with different cuisine options. The restaurant has something diverse for each day of the week with options such as outstanding breakfast buffet, Deli-cious Flavors, Yum Cha Saturdays, Remix Brunch and II Mercato.

Veritas

Veritas is another restaurant by Chef Pino Lavarra, under Al Messila, a Luxury Collective resort & Spa. Veritas’ menu takes on a culinary journey through Italy with its sophisticated and authentic flavors.

CUT by Wolfgang Puck

Wolfgang Puck is a Michelin Star restauranteur and famous chef who has won international accolades for his fine dining culinary experiences for the diners. His philosophy stems from the fact that food has to be prepared fresh from the best of available ingredients and superior cuts of beef. At CUT Doha, you can choose from an array of a la carte options or even opt for the Party Brunch on Fridays.

Iksha360 

Iksha360 by Chef Rohit Ghai is one of the highest Indian restaurants in the world, placed at the top of the famous 42-story Abraj Tower 1 and offers 360 degree views of the magnificent Pearl Qatar. The restaurant spans three floors consisting of a cigar lounge, a high-tea section, and fine dining. With chic décor, soft lighting, and contemporary Asian flavors, guests can enjoy Chef Rohit Ghai’s signature dishes such as slow-cooked beef biryani, chicken curry pie, prawn ghati masala and many more.

Jiwan by Alain Ducasse

Jiwan is Alain Ducasse’s take on Qatari cuisine and makes the most of fresh local ingredients. Situated at the top of the National Museum of Qatar, the restaurant offers panoramic views of the Doha skyline and a delightful dining experience. With 21 Michelin stars under his cap, Chef Alain Ducasse’s Jiwan certainly doesn’t disappoint. Right from the interiors and design that reflect the name Jiwan (perfect pearl) to the four million Swarovski glass beads suspended from the ceiling, Jiwan pays homage to the country’s natural landscape.

Morimoto

Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s namesake restaurant is the first of its name in the Middle East and offers guests a delightful experience throughout. The stunning ambiance with rose-gold columns, beautiful Japanese paintings and an exclusive 16-seat sushi bar make for a very welcoming ambiance. Sample the delicious lobster sushi rice risotto, Wagyu fillets, and many other chef-inspired signature dishes at Morimoto Doha

Naua 

Definitely a must-visit place for those looking at healthy gourmet food, Naua is Michel Star chef Tom Aikens’ creation. The word ‘Naua’ means ‘nucleus of the seed’ in Arabic and true to its name the menu offers delectable dishes made from superior quality, seasonal ingredients.

BiBo Doha

Helmed by acclaimed chef Dani Garcia, BiBo Doha takes the guests through a journey of gastronomic delights that are influenced by Andalusian elements, Spanish flavors, and Qatari ingredients. The tapas bar cum brasserie ambiance of BiBo is sure to welcome guests with its vividness and comfort. The restaurant has also won the first prize in Qatar as the Best European Restaurant 2022.
