Under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, the QU College of Law successfully convened the Doha Youth Legal Forum. Held as a key fixture of the Doha Legal Forum 2026 under the theme “Emerging Trends and Forward-Looking Insights,” the event marks a strategic academic partnership between Qatar University, the Ministry of Justice, and the Qatar International Court (QICDRC).

Strategic Objectives

The forum serves as a platform to integrate academic theory with professional practice, focusing on:

  • National Vision 2030: Aligning student development with Qatar’s long-term economic and legal goals.
  • Emerging Sectors: Engaging with investment transformation, emerging technologies, and corporate governance.
  • Active Dialogue: Transitioning students from passive learners to active contributors in global legal discourse.

Leadership Perspectives

"QU is committed to providing platforms that integrate academic learning with practical dialogue, equipping our students for future leadership roles in the legal sector." — Dr. Omar Al-Ansari, President of Qatar University

Dr. Abdullah Hamad Al-Khaldi, Director of the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Ministry of Justice, emphasized that the forum underscores a national commitment to investing in human capital. He noted that law students are positioned at the heart of national discussions, offering fresh perspectives on a rapidly evolving global landscape.

Supporting this vision, Dr. Mohammed Hassan Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College of Law, highlighted that the initiative reflects an academic shift toward viewing students as active partners in shaping legal awareness and the future of justice in Qatar.

The forum explored legal innovation and the challenges of the modern world, ensuring that the next generation of legal professionals is prepared to navigate and lead within the state's judicial and economic frameworks.
