With ease on mask regulations, Vaccination proof is not required in malls

Covid-19 preventive measures have been lifted based on the joint efforts of the concerned government institutions, the spirit of cooperation demonstrated by citizens and residents in Qatar. After all, with the extremely high vaccination rates, they were able to successfully combat the pandemic and ease restrictions for this stage.

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) will stop sharing COVID-19 statistics on social media every day on Sunday, May 22, 2022, and instead provide a weekly summary.

The Ministry of Public Health has released additional information on the adjustments:

Effective May 21, 2022:

Face masks are now required only in the following circumstances:

For all individuals within healthcare facilities (workers and visitors).
For all individuals on public transport
For customer service employees working indoors including cashiers, receptionists and security personnel.

According to the Ministry, individuals should use face masks in indoor locations if they are vulnerable, have chronic diseases, have symptoms, or are around people who appear to have symptoms, and when in crowded or poorly ventilated areas to protect themselves.

Proof of vaccination or immune status:

Proof of vaccination is no longer necessary to enter closed indoor public venues. To enter public interior spaces, you still must have to show a green Ehteraz status.

Rapid Antigen Tests for unvaccinated individuals:

For all areas, the necessity for unvaccinated or non-immune individuals to have a negative Covid-19 fast antigen test has been waived.

Effective May 19, 2022:

Approvals for event planning

The Ministry of Public Health no longer requires event organizers to acquire prior authorisation to hold events.
Organizers must submit an application to the appropriate government for clearance to host the event and follow the following guidelines:

Follow the precautionary and preventive steps outlined in the Ministry of Public Health's Covid-19 safety procedure.
Prepare and submit a plan to mitigate the risk of Covid-19 in order to ensure that all Covid-19 prevention actions are implemented.
Assign someone to be in charge of their own compliance with these procedures.
Sign the agreement (pledge) to follow the MoPH Covid-19 preventive measures.

Random inspections of events and activities will be conducted by MoPH in collaboration with MOI to check the organizers' adherence to the Covid-19 prevention measures.

According to the Ministry, the lifting of Covid-19 preventive measures occurred due to a low number of cases. As a result, Qatar's attempts to prevent the pandemic have been successful, and most elements of life have now returned to normal.
