The decision was made after Awqaf's moon sighting committee met at their headquarters in Dafna after receiving sighting witness testimony.

The holidays for government employees officially began on Wednesday, July 15, and will only return to office on July 26th. However, some departments will be open. [More info on ministry's Eid opening hours]
