Qatar’s metrological department has warned that many parts of the country were likely to experience strong winds as well as poor visibility due to swirling dust on Sunday.
Offshore areas are also expected to experience high winds and choppy seas, reported Gulf Times.
The winds are expected to be of 10 to 20 knot speeds and may go up to 25 knots at some places. The dust will be moderate to hard and at times, visibility could drop down to 3km or less. Drivers should be careful while driving around the country.
The sea level may also rise to around 8ft by Sunday afternoon.
Qatar Metrological Department stated that Doha and Mesaieed could see the maximum temperatures today, at 43C, while it will be much less harsh in Abu Samra (36), Dukhan (35) and Al Ruwais (33).
