The Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) is all set to take place on 22-28 of March and this time, once again, four famous chefs from the Arabic food channel “Fatafeat” will take part in Qatar Airways’ Cooking Theatre.

These fantastic four chefs will not only entertain the visitors but also showcase some of the world’s best Arabic cuisine too.

On March 26th Fatafeat Kitchen’s event will host several popular faces of the channel Darine El Khatib, Daad Abu Jaber; Salma Suleiman; Wafaa Al Kandari, and Mohamad Orfali Catering to all food lovers through live cooking demos, Q&A and meet and greet.

QIFF has grown in recent years to become one of the region’s most prestigious culinary events -demonstrating the power that food has to draw people together.

 More than 14 highly-acclaimed international and national chefs have been announced by Qatar Airways as presenters at this year’s live Cooking Theatre, offering guests a world of wonderful flavours.

Qatar Airways Senior Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications, Ms. Salam Al Shawa, said: “Qatar Airways wants to create an inspiring festival for everyone, taking visitors on a global food journey, and these fantastic four Fatafeat chefs will add great value to our elite cast of celebrity chefs, showcasing traditional and fusion Arabic food that we can all recreate in our own kitchens.”

Chef Daad Abu Jaber delighted crowds last year at QIFF, and this year will share her passion for cooking and her own recipes that have been developed through a family tradition of cooking.

She will be joined by Salma Suleiman known for her love of blending Tunisian and Egyptian cuisines with international recipes to create popular signature recipes.

Wafaa Al Kandari will teach us the secret of Khaleeji food and Mohammad Orfali, a Syrian chef will complete the line-up focusing on Aleppo and modern Arabic cuisine, demonstrating his 18 years of professional culinary experience for visitors to the live stage show.

 

 

Darine El Khatib, Discovery Channel Director, and guest host, said: “Fatafeat is the region’s number one food network, and what better way to give back to our loyal viewers than by offering them the chance to meet and be inspired by Fatafeat’s team of talented chefs.”

He further added, “From modern Arabic gastronomy courtesy of chef Orfali, to simple yet delicious home-cooking from chef Daad, our Fatafeat chefs will be serving up a festival of flavours this year as they bring their famous culinary skills straight to fans in a live cooking experience that just cannot be missed.”

The family-friendly food festival will take place at the Museum of Islamic Art Park, where signature activities such as Qatar Airways’ Cooking Theatre and Dinner in the Sky will complement a range of new eateries, experiences and entertainment planned for 2016.
