Grey Times, an exhibition encompassing the works of artists who participated in the fifth edition of the Fire Station’s annual Artist in Residence Programme (AIR5) is currently on view.
The exhibition marks the end of AIR5, which centered on the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic, characterized by uncertainty and unprecedented challenges.

Curated by Dr. Bahaa Abudaya and Saida Ali Al-Khulaifi, Grey Times depicts how artists in the residency program had to carry out their respective conceptual journeys in the confines of their homes rather than embarking on creative exploration in the Fire Station’s studio.
Established in 2015, AIR is an annual initiative that nurtures local talents including both Qataris and non-Qataris.

Grey Times runs until 27th August at the Fire Station from 9 am till 7 pm from Saturday through Thursday, and from 1.30 pm till 7 pm on Friday.
In keeping with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Public Health, a limited number of visitors and staff will be allowed inside each museum.
Visitors will be required to reserve tickets in advance on the Qatar Museums website.
