Held under the banner, 'Sport Integrity - the power of collective action in the Middle East, Asia and Africa,' the summit seeks to explore the prevailing challenges in sport in the region and develop solutions by encouraging countries to adopt SIGA’s international standard legislation.
In a press conference held this week to announce the details of the event, Mohammed bin Hanzab, Vice-Chairman, SIGA, said Qatar is a pioneer in supporting integrity, transparency and fighting corruption in sport in the region and around the world.
The country seeks to create a legacy through its vision and strategy for the future, he added.
Bin Hanzab, who is also Chairman and CEO of the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) said the State of Qatar has developed initiatives that aim to achieve integrity in sports.
One of these initiatives is SIGA, which is the first independent and self-financed international organization dedicated to sports integrity.
Founded in 2016, the international alliance comprises more than 100 members of international organizations, sports federations, major sponsors of global sports and civil society organizations.
According to Bin Hanzab, the SIGA Inter-Regional Summit comes under Qatar's efforts to support sports integrity and fight corruption.
The Minister of Culture and Sports HE Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali will also attend the event which will draw together about 60 integrity experts.

The SIGA Vice-Chairman thanked the wise leadership for the great support the State of Qatar provides to eliminating corruption in sport and achieving integrity.
After the great success SIGA has achieved on a European and international level, the alliance is currently discussing sports corruption in Asia, Africa, and the Middle Eastern region, Bin Hanzab added.
Furthermore, the regional summit will look at ways of supporting national associations in many countries by playing a role in improving the organization of world sports championships.
It will also assist in drafting legislation and laws aimed at protecting sports and achieve integrity.
"We need a united front to meet the increasingly complex challenges that the sport industry is currently facing. SIGA is an independent, neutral & multi-stakeholder, global organisation that brings all sides of the industry to do precisely that: to bring about change."@EmanuelGsc pic.twitter.com/pr3Z28oMmG
