If you are a space enthusiast, then there is some good news for you.
The people in Qatar can see different planets of the solar system close to the moon in July, said Qatar Calendar House (QCH) citing astronomical calculations.
“We can see and observe planets together with the moon during these astronomical phenomena, which are also a guide for amateur astronomers to understand the map of the sky,” noted astronomer Dr Beshir Marzouk and QCH director Dr Mohamed Al Ansari told Gulf Times.
Jupiter will come close to the moon twice next month. On July 1, it will be at two degrees from the southern moon’s centre while on July 28, it will be at three degrees from the southern moon’s centre.
People in Qatar can see Jupiter and the moon together with their naked eye over the Doha sky after sunset until the setting time of Jupiter.
On July 7, Saturn, the beautiful planet with rings, will come close to the moon where it will be at three degrees southern moon's center. Qatar resident can see Saturn with Moon over eastern Horizon on Doha sky after sunset time until Saturn set time on Doha sky at 3:17AM next day, reported The Peninsula.
Venus, the third brightest luminary, will come close to Moon on July 20. It will be near to Moon by two degrees northern moon's center. Qatar residents can see Venus and Moon together by naked eye over eastern horizon of Doha sky after time rise of Venus at 2am until sunrise time.
Finally, Mercury will be at one degree from southern moon's center on July 25. People living in Qatar can see Mercury with Moon over western Horizon over Doha sky after sunset time until Mercury set time on Doha sky at 7.50pm next day.
