365 Adventures Qatar by Peninsula Compass Tourism is now offering more than 60 adventurous experiences to discover Qatar’s urban and rural sites, each with the special focus on exploring a nature’s phenomenon that is very dear to a whole crowd of birdwatchers, wildlife fanatics, as well as photographers.

These wide-variety exploration experiences around Qatar are not only taking residents to remote areas of the country, but also, educating them about the nature, culture, ecology, archaeology and history of these areas.

Among the many birds enjoying slightly warmer winter in Qatar as compared to other parts of the world, Flamingos are not only a rare sight, but also a rare species not known to many residing in Qatar. Moreover, they tend to travel in groups and are a rare sight.

Al Aaliyah Island is home to not only just a deserted surface, but also, a natural collection of mangrove trees which offer an excellent habitat for migratory birds.  Based on the level of experience that guests are seeking, one can choose between leisurely to adventurous activities on this island.

Transportation options include a yacht cruise, a traditional dhow boat cruise, a speed boat or simply on a kayak. At the island, guests can choose to stay on the boat or elevate their experience by snorkeling and discovering the marine life, as well as kayaking around the mangroves of the island and watching the migratory birds.

It is recommended to commence these activities during early morning and sunrise as the birds tend to stay away from mass human activity.
