The General Directorate of Passports recorded about 1,556,867 completed transactions in June this year, according to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
This number includes the transactions finalized by all the departments of the General Directorate of Passports including Nationality and Travel Documents Department, Expatriates Affairs Department, Borders Passports Department, Search and Follow-up Department, Unified Services Department, Airport Passports Department, and Administrative Affairs Department.

The Expatriates Affairs Department recorded as many as 61,432 transactions while the Unified Services Department finalized 212,763 transactions.
The number of transactions completed by the Borders Passports Department amounted to 3,768.
Moreover, the Airport Passports Department witnessed 1,188,034 transactions while the Search and Follow-up Department completed 42,922 transactions.
The service center of Al Rayyan completed 41,436 transactions in June, followed by Al Wakra with 26,025 transactions and Mesaimeer Service Center with 24,233 transactions.
The total number of transactions for traffic services and fingerprinting in June reached 27,667, of which 21,035 were related to traffic.
Additionally, at least 186,862 transactions were made through electronic services.
Of the 186,862 transactions, 287 were e-government transactions, 104,136 were through the Ministry of Interior’s website and about 82,439 through the Metrash2 app.
The MoI continues to enrich its services to the public through specialized departments.
