The holy season of Eid Al-Adha is upon us once more, bringing with it joy, pleasure, and, of course, the traditional animal sacrifice.

With the gradual uplifting of COVID-19 restrictions, things are finally settling down as we finally fall back into what we call normal.

Some of you may be familiar with how meat-focused the Eid Al-Adha holiday can be. In fact, there is a strong relationship between meat-oriented feasts and the holy occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

It is a religious symbolism commemorating Prophet Ibrahim's (peace be upon him) obedience and faith when Allah had commanded him to sacrifice his son, Prophet Ismail (peace be upon him).

As a result, Muslims all throughout the world pray the Eid prayer before sacrificing sheep, goats, or any other type of cattle.

The meat is typically given to family members and acquaintances after the sacrifice, and is more commonly distributed with the poor and needy.

If you have been lucky enough to be invited to a feast or gathering on this special occasion, you can look forward to a variety of fatty, heartwarming, and delicious meals.

According to studies, the duration between two consecutive meals should be at least 6 hours, especially on the days of Eid Al-Adha.

This will allow the stomach to rest and digest, making you feel lighter and more active, as well as assist you in losing weight.

 

Avoid Soft Drinks

When diving into a heavy meat-oriented dish during Eid Al-Adha, you may often find yourself desiring a fizzy cold drink to wash it down.
