The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, along with the Father Amir HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa AL Thani, performed the Eid al-Fitr prayers with other worshippers at the Al-Wajbah prayer ground today.
Other official dignitaries also performed the Blessed prayer, including HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani, Personal Representative of the Amir; HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council; HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al Thani; HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani; and several sheikhs and members belonging to Shura Council or diplomatic ambassadors.
The Eid Khutbah (sermon) was delivered by HE Sheikh Dr. Thaqil Sayer Al-Shammari, the Judge of Cassation and member of the Supreme Judicial Council. The sermon delivered was focused on fulfilling the purpose of fasting, achievement of piety, and servitude to Allah.
The HH Amir also shared his wishes for the general public through his social media handles on Twitter, where he is hopeful of Qatar is in the best possible conditions.
